Children at St Mary's
Being a village church means being a multi-generational family where all are welcome.
St Mary's is a place where everyone can find a home, whether 3 or 93.
St Mary's is a place where everyone can find a home, whether 3 or 93.
We try to hold 'Children @ the Barn' once a month where the children go out for their own group.
Once a month we have an 'Informal Morning Worship' which hopes to engage the children in the main service And for other services we have worksheet colouring and puzzle activities for children |
There is a also carpeted creche area in church which those with young children use. There is a pen to keep toddlers contained so that life is easier for the parents in charge. There are a wide selection of toys.
There is a table for slightly older children where they can do activities that relate to the theme of the service. With a good sound system a bit of noise is not a problem. Older children are encouraged to get involved in the service, by helping with prayers, or readings or communion. Do chat to us for more info on how children can be involved in the life of the church. |
