Children at St Mary's

Being an inclusive church means being a multi-generational family where all are welcome.
St Mary's is a place where everyone can find a home, whether 3 or 93.

About twice a month we hold 'Kids @ the Barn' where the children go out for their own group.

Once a month we have an 'Informal Morning Worship' which hopes to engage the children in the main service

And for other services we have 'boxes' for children to use in the pews, with sheets, play dough, colouring and son.

There is a also carpeted creche area in church which those with young children use. There is a pen to keep toddlers contained so that life is easier for the parents in charge. There are a wide selection of toys.

There is a table for slightly older children where they can do activities that relate to the theme of the service.

With a good sound system a bit of noise is not a problem.

Older children are encouraged to get involved in the service, by helping with prayers, or readings or communion.

Do talk to David for more info on how children can be involved in the life of the church.
